GEN III Level 2 ECWCS | Tan

To remove moisture and sweat from the body as quickly as possible while keeping warm - this is the task of the ECWCS Gen III Level 2 basic thermal pants, which is the second layer in the concept of the ECWCS GEN III layered clothing system.
The ECWCS system of the third generation, consisting of 7 layers of clothing with a total weight of just under 6 kg, has been successfully used by the 10th Infantry Division of the US Army in the conditions of military operations in Afghanistan, and since 2007 has been the standard of US Army clothing, allowing soldiers to seamlessly adapt to operational and tactical tasks in different climatic zones at temperatures from -40 to + 16C.
ECWCS Gen III Level 2 thermal pants can be used as a base layer in cool weather not only in conditions of intense physical activity, but also when performing static tasks. This versatility is made possible by the use of Polartec® Power Grid® - a breathable two-component material with a patented mesh (wafer) structure that effectively wicks moisture away from the body through contact points with the skin and improves thermoregulation by removing excess heat through air channels. The quick-drying mesh structure does not lose its thermal insulation qualities when compressed, making the material less bulky and lighter than other Polartec® base materials. In addition, Polartec® Power Grid® fabric is treated with Odor Resistant® antibacterial protection, which prevents the appearance of unpleasant odor from clothing.

● Reinforced flat seams do not cause discomfort when worn;
● Lapels on the cuffs of the trousers provide comfort when wearing high boots;
● A wide elastic waistband on the pants ensures a snug fit of the raglan to the body;
● Codpiece with additional material insert prevents the possibility of rubbing during long walking, provides higher mobility;
● Used as a separate item of clothing in cool weather, and in combination with other layers of the ECWCS Gen3 system in frosty weather;
● Can be washed in a washing machine, does not lose its properties and shape even after repeated washing, does not roll and does not fray.
The original ECWCS Gen III Level 2 Polartec Power Grid thermal pants perform their functions not only as part of army equipment, but are also ideal for use in fishing, hunting, mountaineering or hiking.
Composition: 93% Polyester + 7% Spandex, density 231 g/m2.  The material is completely hypoallergenic.
