Insulated pants are designed for use in cold weather conditions or when low-mobility in combination with other layers of the system (I-V). The low weight and thickness of the pants provides maximum comfort and freedom of movement.
Thanks to the use of modern, unparalleled insulation PrimaLoft Sport has excellent thermal insulation properties. High-quality synthetic PrimaLoft heat insulation is currently considered one of the best heat-insulating materials for use in extreme conditions on the world market.
The thermal resistance coefficient is 2.15, which is exceptionally high. The fibers of this insulation are very thin and resemble goose down more than any other synthetic material. It is this similarity that gives it the thermal properties of down.
The patented technology of alternating ultrafine fibers and fibers with variable diameter is used for maximum thermal insulation efficiency.
Specially treated ultra-thin fibers provide a waterproof structure, while variable-diameter fibers help shape the material. Due to its long fibre structure PrimaLoft recovers its volume better and faster than similar materials. Even after a huge number of washings and drying, the material does not deform.
Another big advantage of this material is that it breathes and allows moisture to evaporate. Its air layers are very small to allow moisture to penetrate, but large to allow moisture formed inside to evaporate.
The outer layer is made with silicone encapsulated polymer fabric using a unique patented fabric process called EPIC by Nextec. EPIC® encapsulation technology spreads an ultrafine layer of silicone polymers over the fabric, enveloping the fibers and filling the space between the fibers. This creates a watertight barrier that simultaneously lets natural evaporation from the body's surface, ensuring comfort. The ECWCS Gen III Level 7 system winter pants take up minimal volume when folded, instantly and self-unfolding after compression.
