The SEARs elastic design, borrowed from the TEAR pouch, allows you to carry more than just AR-15 magazines. It can also hold stun grenades (tested with CTS Model 7290), small radios, TQs, or anything else you can fit in there. The thermoplastic base adds rigidity, and the included shock cord allows you to adjust the fit.
