HyFin NAR Vent Compact Chest Seal Twin Pack occlusive film

The HyFin® Vent Chest Seal Twin Pack from North American Rescue sets the standard for the prevention, treatment and management of open and/or tension pneumothorax that can be caused by penetrating chest trauma. The two seals, each individually wrapped, are designed so that the user can apply the seal to both the incoming and outgoing wound, and have the option of applying only one and storing the other until needed, depending on the situation. This innovative design features 3-vented channels designed to prevent air from entering the chest cavity during inhalation while allowing air to escape through the ventilation channels during exhalation. Channels with 3 vents are designed to drain blood, even if two of the three channels are blocked, the vent remains fully functional.
Advanced adhesive technology provides superior adhesion as the HyFin® Vent Chest Seal Twin Pack is specifically designed to overcome adverse conditions in harsh environments where the victim may be covered in blood, sweat, hair or other environmental contaminants when a secure chest seal is imperative. 
Each film is packaged in a more compact, durable, easy-to-open double foil pouch that also contains a gauze pad for wiping the wound surface before application. The HyFin® Vent Chest Seal Twin Pack has a large red pad for one-step removal and application, and the transparent backing facilitates easy placement on the wound site, adhering to the patient's chest.
NAR packs each chest seal using its proprietary Red Tip Technology® with red tear-off notches in a durable, easy-to-open foil pouch to ensure high quality. 
The HyFin® Vent Chest Seal Twin Pack meets or exceeds current EMS Standards of Care and TCCC and TECC Guidelines for the treatment of penetrating chest wounds and is the preferred prehospital chest seal.
