Description Benchmade 275FE-2 Sibert Adamas

The Benchmade 275 Adamas® is an ergonomically designed tactical reliable folding knife like its predecessors. Despite its shrunken design, the Adamas® is tough as nails with the introduction of the latest CPM-CruWear® steel and updated color configurations.
CPM® Cru-Wear™ steel is an air-hardened tool powder steel produced by Crucible Industries (USA), an American steel company. The steel has an excellent combination of high wear resistance and strength. This steel is easy to process (similar in parameters to D2) and has minimal distortion in obtaining the desired hardness.
Cru-Wear is used in jobs that require higher wear resistance than D2 steel and higher strength than M2 steel. This steel corrodes in a wet environment, so it requires careful maintenance, or the blade must have an anti-corrosion coating, which is actually what the Model 275 is supplemented with.
