Book “Flashback: Mariupol”

The book “Flashback: Mariupol” is a unique memoir by Oleksandr Ivantsov, a defender of Mariupol who lived through the most intense stages of the full-scale invasion’s beginning. The author’s personal experience is not only a chronicle of combat actions but also a vivid story of choice, courage, and resilience under constant enemy pressure. Ivantsov, who arrived in besieged Mariupol by helicopter, became one of the last defenders of Azovstal. He refused to surrender and made a unique breakthrough through 200 km of enemy-controlled territory, returning to Ukrainian-held areas.
